"NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HEART OF A CHAMPION"
St. Louis Cardinal baseball is not for the faint of heart. Remember last year?
Tonight, the reigning World Champion Cardinals were down 6-0 after three innings in the final game of the best of five to the Washington Nationals in their park and tied the game and then took the lead in their half of the ninth inning with great at bats all with two outs and two strikes...down to their final swing twice. Sound familiar??? Deja vu all over again. They did it with unlikely heroes with eagle-eye walks and timely hits against their closer stopper Drew Storen. INCREDIBLE COMEBACK!!!!
Jason Motte, Cards closer, retired the three top National sluggers in the bottom of the ninth to secure the victory and punched their ticket to San Francisco to face the Giants for the National League pennant. Scoreboard: Cardinals 9 Nationals 7. INCREDIBLE VICTORY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
You want fun? Follow the Cardinals. They are more fun than a $20 five minute grinding lap dance with Peaches at Shotgun Willies. Sorry Peaches.
Go Crazy Cards and fans. Beat the Giants.
And for the District, this loss is just a foretaste of what's coming in November.
